Marston Consulting was founded by Ama Marston, an international strategy & leadership expert as well as a recognized thought leader focused on Transformative Resilience, women’s & values-driven leadership, responsible & inclusive business. Ama is the coauthor of Type R: Transformative Resilience for Thriving in a Turbulent World (Public Affairs/ Hachette Book Group, 2018)

She has worked on five continents with global leaders like Mary Robinson, first female President of Ireland and Joseph Stiglitz, Nobel laureate economist, FTSE Index and Fortune 500 companies, the United Nations, Oxford University, and international foundations and NGOs. Ama has contributed to and been featured in the Guardian, New York Times, CNN Money, 800-CEO Read, Forbes, Harvard Business Review, Slate, Elle UK and on ABC News, BBC News, Cheddar, Nasdaq, among numerous others.

She is a frequent keynote and guest speaker. This includes forums like SXSW, which hosted Melinda Gates and Elon Musk, Silicon Valley’s Watermark Conference, Georgetown’s McDonough Business School, UC Berkely's Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Tech, Seattle Town Hall and the LA World Affairs Council.

Ama has received multiple awards, including a Women World Leaders Fellowship. She holds a Masters Degree in International Affairs from Columbia University. She also received a Bachelors Degree from the University of California at Santa Cruz and graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
