TRANSFORMATIVE RESILIENCE AND ENTREPRENEURS
Ama will be speaking about Transformative Resilience and entrepreneurship at the University of California at Berkeley as part of the A. Richard Newton Distinguished Innovator Lecture Series on January 24, 2017. TRANSFORMATIVE RESILIENCE - WATERMARK CONFERENCE
Ama will be chairing a panel and holding a workshop on leadership and Transformative Resilience, the ability to not just bounce back, but spring forward, in Silicon Valley at the Watermark Conference one of the largest gathering of professional women in the United States. The conference now has an impressive line-up of women leaders with Madeleine Albright, first female US Secretary of State, former US Secretary of state Condoleeza Rice and award-winning actress Viola Davis. We are running to keep a step ahead of our two outstanding interns, Masters students at the School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University. Zoryana Melesh, who's doing a research internship is a Ukrainian Magna Cum Laude grad with significant research & journalism experience & is Senior Editor & Coordinator for the Journal of Int Affairs. Thembi Mdachi, who's doing a business development internship is a Malawian strategic management & finance professional & has helped impact business accelerators like Agora Partnerships scale their business & women’s programs. WOMEN LEADERS AND TRANSFORMATIVE RESILIENCE
Ama will be speaking at the prestigious Power Shift Forum on her research on why transformative resilience is the way forward for women leaders. She will be speaking alongside leaders like Melanne Verveer, US Ambassador for Global Women's Issues. This year's forum is hosted by Georgetown University and Mastercard May 4-5. (4/16)

RESILIENCE BOOK MOVING FORWARD
We are very pleased to have signed on with literary agent Jane von Mehren of Zachary, Schuster, Harsworth to represent our book on how transformative resilience. helps us thrive in an increasingly tubulent world. Jane is former Senior VP at Randomhouse. She has represented recent bestsellers like "How to Have a Good Day" and has edited bestsellers like Susan Faludi's monster hit "Backlash". (3/16)

WOMEN IN INDIAN OCEAN RIM ECONOMIES
We kicked off discussions between government, business and civil society on women's leadership and economic empowerment in the Indian Ocean Rim region August 24-25 (See presentation) and developed a paper for UN Women with support from the Australian Department for Foreign Affairs and Trade to frame the discussion. We have been undertaking multi-stakeholder engagement on integrating socially responsible business practices and gender into cocoa supply chains and advising Oxfam on their work with global food companies. (6/15)

PROVIDING INSIGHT ON WOMEN AND BUSINESS
Marston Consulting has just published new research with Grant Thornton looking at women's advancement into leadership across 35 developed and developing countries, finding that while women's leadership is slightly down support for quotas is up globally. The report Women in Business: The path to leadership provides recommendations for society, government, business and women themselves. (3/15)
